images that resonate

by observing what often goes unnoticed

Amsterdam based documentary & campaign photographer

I’m Emma Pot, a documentary photographer with a journalistic background, based in Amsterdam.

My work focuses on what’s really happening, not just what can be seen. With a documentary eye, I capture what moves people.

I work with festivals, artists, cultural organizations and brands. My clients include NPO, Het Concertgebouw, Pinkpop, North Sea Jazz and ESNS and the work spans live events, campaigns, portraits and editorial.

work overview

  • An outdoor scene with a pink and black pavilion with Betty Boop artwork and lettering, people sitting and walking in front of it, and a blue sky with some clouds.

    FESTIVALS & EVENTS

Festival and event photography at Pinkpop, North Sea Jazz, Eurosonic, Zwarte Cross, Concert at Sea and more. Fast-paced and unpredictable, which is exactly where I work best. I capture the artists, the crowd, and everything in between.

  • A person standing at a bathroom sink, shaving cream on their face, using a razor to shave, with a colorful patterned curtain, teal wall, and a potted plant in the background.

    branding & identity

Campaign and brand photography for cultural organizations, media companies and brands. I create images that feels authentic rather than staged. Portraits, campaign visuals and event documentation for NPO, Het Concertgebouw, Vitens and Winq.

  • A young woman with tattoos, wearing a white t-shirt, shorts, and a backwards baseball cap, sitting alone among empty black stadium seats.

    PORTRAITS & EDITORIAL

For me, portraits are about presence and creating space for someone to just be. I work quietly and observantly, and the result is images where something real comes through. Clients include Winq, NPO Radio 2 and Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind.

some organizations and brands i work with

A man shaving in a bathroom with soap foam on his face, holding a brush in one hand and a razor in the other, standing at a sink with toiletries. The background includes a teal wall, a framed picture, a plant, and orange tiles. There is text in Dutch saying 'Draai Draai 'm dicht' at the top and 'scheer je huid met de kraan uit' at the bottom, with a Vitens logo.
